Tip #4. Don't Use Friends For Harvesting

You will often see your FV2 at your farm and you can accept their help. Whatever area on your farm they are in is where they will be helping out 5 times. For example, if they are by your crops they will harvest, water, fertilize your crops depending on which action needs to be taken.

One common mistake is to accept a friend's help on harvested crops. Yes they will harvest your crops, but harvesting crops does not cost you anything (Eg. Water, Energy). Instead harvest your crops, plant new ones and then accept your friend's help. They will Water 5 of your crops and that is 5 Water that you don't have to use.

This works even better for trees which cost a lot more water than crops do. A friend can water 5 trees for you that may cost you 3 water each (3 * 5 trees = 15 water!). Each friend can help out 5 times each day regardless of the water cost of his or her action. Help out by watering your friend's crops/trees and tell them to do the same for you!

Hope this helped! Please comment below if you feel there is anything else important to note about Help from friends in FV2. Thanks For Reading!

Tip #3. Best Crafting Value Up to Level 8

By comparing all Crafting Recipes up until Level 8 it can be seen that the Apple Scone will give you the most profit. This information was found by taking the Total Sell Value of the ingredients and subtracting that from the Sell Value of the Crafted item.

Each Apple can be sold for 18 Coins each and the Sell Price of Batter is 290 Coins. (18 * 6)= 108 Coins plus 290 Coins = 398. The Sell Value of the Apple Scone is 640. So 640 - 398= 242 Total Profit. Of Course you will have to spend Power on Crafting Batter and Apple Scone, but you will get Free Power every Hour anyway.

To make the most of this information, it is best to make a lot of Apple Trees, buy a lot of Chickens and plant a lot of Wheat. Store your Apples, Eggs and Wheat until you have enough Power to Craft Apple Scones. The Apple Scone is worth a lot more than selling its individual ingredients.

Tip #2: Click & Drag

When you are trying to water, plant, harvest or fertilize crops/plants you can actually click and drag your mouse over multiple plots/trees. This will save you a lot of time rather than performing each action one by one.

How To Click & Drag

Planting- Click on the empty plot and then choose the crop you want from the general store. Once you see the little harvest cursor click and drag that over all of the empty plots that you want to plant seeds on.

Watering- Click and drag your cursor over crops with water droplet icons over them. As long as you have sufficient water the crops that you select will all be watered.

Harvesting- Click and drag your cursor over the trees and crops that are ready to be harvested.

Fertilizing- Click and drag your over crops that have been planted and watered.

Note: Trees & Crops that are grayed out are areas that your Farmer will get to, but has not gotten to yet.

Hope this helped! Please comment below if you feel there is anything else important to note about Clicking & Dragging in FarmVille 2. Thanks For Reading!

Tip #1. Use Crafting Power!

Once you unlock the Farmstead Kitchen at level 5 you can start to craft recipes. These recipes can be sold for a lot more coins than their individual ingredients. For example, Flour can be sold in the Marketplace for 90 Coins. It can be crafted by combining 4x Wheat in the Crafting Kitchen. Wheat can be sold for 14 Coins each, and 4x Wheat would give you 56 Coins. If you created Flour you could sell it for 44 more Coins than selling 4x Wheat would give you. So what's the catch?

Power
The catch is that each recipe requires Power in order to be crafted. However, as long as you have unlocked the Farmstead Kitchen you will get 15 FREE Power every hour. The maximum amount of Power you can have at once is 15 and it will just go to waste if you don't use it. So basically there is no reason NOT to use your Power on crafting. Plan ahead and store recipe ingredients (Eg. Wheat, Lemons, Apples etc.) in your inventory so that you will always have some to craft recipes with.

Hope this helped! Please comment below if you feel there is anything else important to note about Crafting or Power. Thanks For Reading!

Prize Crops & Mastery

Crops Mastery
Crop Mastery unlocks once you reach level 7 in FarmVille. When you harvest one crop over and over, you will eventually master that crop. When you master a crop, you get more Coins and XP for the prized crops. Each crop has 3 levels of mastery. It takes more of each harvested crop to complete levels 2 and 3.

Prized Crops
When you fertilize a crop, it has a chance to become a Prize Crop upon harvest. Prized Crops will appear much larger than normal crops and they will be sparkling as well.

When you collect your Prized Crop, a window will pop up showing you how much your Prized Crop weighs. The larger the crop, the more Coins, XP and mastery points you will get.

After you grow a Prized Crop your record will be stored for that particular crop in the General Store. I happened to get a 17 Lb Pumpkin at mastery level 1 and was awarded with 17 Mastery Points, 340 Coins and 17 XP.

Crop Progress/ Records
Now when I go to buy pumpkin seeds it shows me that my record Pumpkin was 17 Lbs. It also shows me how many mastery points I need to get to the next mastery level. Just hover your mouse over the blue bar and it will show the mastery points needed in a tooltip. In my case, it says I need 36 more mastery points for a red ribbon.

Note: You will also get a little Crop Mastery sign to place on your farm so that all of your FV2 friends can see which crops you have mastered and to what level as well.

8 Ways To Get XP

As you do work on your farm you will give a little bit of XP for each job done. You will also get XP for helping out your friends' farms as well. The more XP you get, the higher level you will become and the more you will unlock (i.e. Crops, Trees, Areas, etc.)

Here are 8 different ways that you can gain more XP in ChefVille:

#1. Water Crops/Trees- Once you plant crops you will have to water them in order for them to start to grow. You will get XP for each Crop and Tree that you water. If you need more water check out the guide 4 Ways To Get More Water.

#2. Harvest Crops/Trees- Once crops are watered and fully grown you get harvest them. You will receive XP for every Crop/Tree harvested. Trees will usually give more XP, but it depends on the Tree/Crop that is harvested from.

#3. Feed Animals- You will see a little seed icon over your animals when they need to be fed. Click on them and they will give you Goods (eg. Eggs, Milk, Wool). You will also receive XP each time you feed your animals. Check the timer on each animal to find out when the next feeding time will be for the particular animals you have.

#4. Prized Animals- As you continue to feed your animals, a little notification will say "X number of Feeds before your animal becomes a Prized Animal. Once your animal becomes Prized you can take it to the fair each day for some extra coins and XP. Animals with a little blue ribbon icon over their heads are labeled as Prized Animals.

#5. Accept Help From Friends- Click on your friends when you see them on your farm and accept their help. They do the work, but you still get the XP for the work that they do. Accepting help from friend's does not cost anything so accept friend help whenever you are able to.

#6. Help Out Friends- You can go to your friends' farms and help each friend 5 times each day. You will receive 1 XP per action and 1 XP for visiting each friend for a total of 6 XP per visit. The more FarmVille 2 friends you visit, the more total XP you can gain!

#7. Buy Decorations- Decorations don't really do anything but make your farm look nicer and give you some XP upon purchase. Some goals require you to buy certain decorations. If you have some extra Coins feel free to buy some decorations.

#8. Complete Goals- Finally you will be granted XP for completing goals. The XP gained will vary from Goal to Goal, but as you progress and level up the later Goals will grant more XP. See what tasks you need to achieve in order to complete your goals. You will usually receive XP, Coins and sometimes an item with each Goal completion.

4 Ways To Get Water

Water is a very important and scarce resource in FarmVille 2. In a way, Water takes the place of Energy that was required in the original FarmVille. You will need Water in FV2 to grow Plants and Crops, not to mention it is needed in some Crafting Recipes as well. This guide will show you the ways to obtain more water in FarmVille 2.

4 Ways To Get More Water

1. Leveling Up- When you earn enough experience you will level up. Upon level up you will be granted +20 water. While this is not the best method to obtain water, in the earlier levels it is easier to level up and get this extra water.

2. Water Packs- You can ask your FarmVille 2 friends to give you water packs. Once you are given water packs you can go to your inventory and use water from those water packs. You can also buy water packs for FarmVille 2 bucks, but FV2 bucks cost actual money.

3. Water Wells- Once you own a water well you will be able to harvest 10 water per well every 4 hours. The first area that you unlock will give you 1x Water Well. The Waterpatch also has 1x Water Well once you unlock it. Finally you can buy Water Wells from the General Store for 14,000 Coins. It will probably take you until around Level 8 or 9 to afford the Water Well. Unlocking The Waterpatch will take even longer.

4. Visiting FV2 Friends- Each time you visit one of your FarmVille 2 friends and help out on their farm 5 times you will receive 1 extra water. There is a limit to how much water you can receive from visiting friends every day.

Instantly Grow Crops Trick

This FarmVille 2 trick will instantly make your crops fully grown; in addition your trees and animals will be ready to harvest. This is easy to do, especially when you are under level 6. Now while this trick is easy to do, it is important to understand how to fully take advantage of it because you cannot do this trick very often.

So What Is This Trick?
If you have played enough FarmVille 2 it is possible you have already discovered this little trick. Each time you level-up you will be able to harvest all of your watered crops and trees.

In addition to this, all of your animals will automatically be able to be fed and harvested from. Not only that, but you will also receive 20x Water will each Level-Up as well. The following will show you how to get the most out of each Level up.

5 Steps To Get The Most Out Of Your Level-Up

#1. Use All Water Before Leveling Up- First of all you will receive +20 water after you level-up and you can only hold up to 30 water at a time (Not including wells). Secondly, plants and trees that you do not water will not automatically grow when you level-up. Make sure all trees and crops are watered; if you need more water, try visiting friends' farms or ask friend's for water as a gift. You can also collect water from wells if you have unlocked them. One is in the first area you unlock and the second one is pretty far away in The Waterpatch. NO CROPS should have water droplet icons above them (This means it has not been watered).

#2. Plant Crops With Longest Growth Times- Crops with long grow times usually will give the most XP and will have the highest Sell Values. The Strawberry, for example, has a 24 Hour timer and gives much more XP and many more Coins than say Tomatoes or Blueberries. Since leveling up will give instant growth to crops, the growth times do not matter in this case.

#3. Make Sure All Animals Are Fed- Feed your animals and harvest their products (Eg. Eggs, Milk, Wool) before leveling up. They will be able to be fed again and harvested right after you level up anyway.

#4. Maximize Soil Plots- You will be allowed to create 7 more Soil plots with each new area you expand to. Keep making plots until the game tells you that you reached the maximum limit of plots. The more plots, the more crops you can plant and the more money and XP you can make from harvesting and selling these crops.

#5. Alter This Guide To Fit Your Own Needs- You may be trying to get more coins, more XP or even more feed. Make sure you know exactly what you need before you level-up and plant crops accordingly. Basically plant crops that will give you exactly what you need (Eg. Coins, Feed, XP etc.). You can check what each Crop, Tree and Animal gives in the General Store.

Will FarmVille 2 Overtake Farmville?

Zynga has recently released FarmVille 2. Similar to FarmVille, but with much better graphics, almost similar to that of Harvest Moon.

You will start out FarmVille 2 on a small plot of land with some Tomatoes and some seeds that will need to be watered. Upon starting the game, I found the gameplay to be a little bit quicker than in the original Farmville.

In addition to this, you can give Zynga permission to post your game news faster and in return you get 5 Free Speed Grow.

You can feed animals such as chickens and wild goats, both of which you will find at the beginning of the game. Feed animals to get their goods which you can then sell for more coins at the Market Stand!

Some Similarities Between Both FarmVille Games
- Costs coins to expand to new areas
- Feed animals, grow crops, sell goods
- Most actions give XP so you can level up
- Getting more FarmVille friends allows you to progress more quickly
- Some things cost coins and some cost FarmVille cash

Some Differences Between Both FarmVille Games
- Better graphics in FV2
- Create feed to feed animals
- Obtain water to use on crops
- No energy in FV2 (Resources are Feed, Water & Fertilizer)

Please comment below with an similarities and/or differences that you have found between FarmVille and FarmVille 2.
